We started this one without any idea. Since it was held where we lived, we knew we could go home, develop comfortably, and then return to the venue as the submission deadline approached.
When we got to the venue, our plan was to meet the sponsors and try to find an idea worth building. We focused on the privacy and AI tracks. We talked with multiple people from BitGo, Base, ENS, and several other mentors and judges present at the venue. But by the end of the day, we were more confused than when we had started.
We did not lose faith and went home after day one. Later, we started looking for ideas and decided to build a system to provide privacy for AI agents.
The idea
When an AI agent uses the x402 protocol to act on behalf of a human, its activity can usually be tracked. This information can be used maliciously, potentially leading to higher pricing. It also counteracts dynamic pricing. Airlines, gaming platforms, and e-commerce sites often use dynamic pricing, where prices of certain products can be higher for a consumer based on their purchasing behaviour or browsing patterns.
Our idea was to introduce privacy for AI agents so that dynamic pricing and falsely inflated pricing could be controlled. We used Base as our network and OpenClaw for our agents.
The build
We could not develop a product that was completely up to the mark due to certain circumstances. Nonetheless, we had a working prototype by the end. We presented it gleefully and went home with some sadness, but also with a sense of satisfaction. We could have performed better if we had finalised the idea on day one, but given the time constraints and resources, I felt that we had done our best.
The results came in, and it turned out that we had not won in any track. But we took this as a lesson and explored all the projects that had won. There were so many new and fresh ideas, and we felt genuinely inspired by what everyone had built.
Even though we did not win, the experience taught us a lot about the importance of finding the right idea early, making the most of the time available, and learning from the people and projects around us.
